Discipline Clues or Blues?

Effective teachers often ask a series of questions daily:  Am I really prepared?  Will I understand “these” students – their culture and their language?  What will they think about me and my background?  What will I say when they use profanity or worse, won’t do what I say?  What will I say to parents?

The middle school mind has a culture of its own!
